How it works

This baby shower memory game prints the paper for the tray game: an answer sheet of 20 numbered lines with a name line and a points box. The Sheet list also holds a 15-line sheet, a second round and two tray lists for the host.

Set the tray and print the sheets

Choose Host's list: easy tray or Host's list: look-alike tray in the Sheet list and print it. Tick each item as it goes on the tray. Then choose Answer sheet: 20 lines and press Print blank sheet, one copy a guest.

Look, cover, write

Show the tray, then cover it or carry it out. Guests write every item they remember, one a line. Read your list aloud: a point for each item named. How long guests look and write is your call. We suggest about a minute to look and two to write.

Tips
  • On the look-alike tray, say before you start whether a plain "rattle" earns a point or needs the handle color.
  • For a surprise, hand out Second round: who carried the tray? once the first scores are in.

Questions and answers

How do you play the memory game for a baby shower?

The host shows a tray of baby items, then hides it. Guests write down everything they remember, and the longest correct list wins. The answer sheet has a numbered line for each item and a box for the points.

What items go on a baby shower memory tray?

Small baby things a guest can name at a glance: a blue pacifier, an orange bath toy fish, a wooden rattle. The easy list has 20. The look-alike list has ten near-twin pairs, such as two rattles with different handles.

How many items should be on the tray?

Twenty fills the full answer sheet and fifteen the short one. Fewer items make a quicker, easier round. These sizes are our own: the game is a folk game with no official rules or sheet.

How this list was compiled: Written by the Game Night Generator editors on 2026-10-02. The game is a folk game with no governing body and no standard sheet, so the layouts, the sizes and the scoring are the editors' own, and the page says so. No brand name is on any list. The two tray lists are the editors' own: 20 items chosen to be told apart at a glance, each with its color named so an answer can be judged, and 20 items in ten look-alike pairs. The look and write times in the key are the editors' suggestion and the host's choice. No facts are stated. Licence: own work
