How it works
The baby shower clothespin game, also called Don't Say Baby, has one rule: say the banned word and lose a pin. The sign printed here starts with that one word, baby.

Choose the banned words
The sign opens on baby alone. To ban a second word, tick baby to keep it, then choose Everyday shower words, Easy to avoid or House words in the box under the button. Pick 2 new words changes the word that is not ticked.
Put the sign by the pins
Press Print this list and stand the sign beside a basket of clothespins, one for each guest. Guests clip a pin on as they arrive, and the game runs until the gifts are opened.
Questions and answers
How do you play the baby shower game Don't Say Baby?
Each guest starts with one clothespin. Anyone who says baby loses a pin to the guest who heard it. When the gifts are opened, the guest wearing the most pins wins.
Is the baby shower pin game the same game?
Yes. Clothespin game, pin game and Don't Say Baby are three names for one game, and the sign is the same.
What other words can be banned?
Everyday shower words such as cute, diaper and bottle make the game harder. House words, such as the month the baby is expected, suit one family only. Tick baby first, then choose a group in the box under the button.
What is the no-crossed-legs rule?
A second way to lose a pin: a guest caught with crossed legs or ankles hands one over. It is the last rule on the printed sign, and a host who does not want it crosses it out by hand.
Are these the official rules?
The game has no official rules and no standard sign. The layout and the four rules here are our editors' own, one way to play.
