Questions and answers

How do you play the My Water Broke baby shower game?

Freeze a tiny plastic baby in each ice cube and give every guest one in a glass of water. The first guest whose baby floats free of the ice shouts "My water broke!" and wins.

Are there baby shower games for boys or for girls?

The games do not change with the baby. The two small sets, For a boy and For a girl, are built on first names and a color, blue or pink, and most of their games can be switched to the other set.

Do sprinkle baby shower games differ from the usual ones?

No. A sprinkle, a smaller shower for a second or later baby, plays the same games with a shorter list. The low-key games suit it best, and the games built on a big pile of gifts can be left out.

Which baby shower games suit guests who dislike shower games?

The low-key ones, where nobody performs. A Wish Card for the Baby From Every Guest, One Signature on Each Calendar Square and Names in a Jar, Read at Dessert happen at the guest's own seat and pace.

How this list was compiled: Written by the Game Night Generator editors on 2026-10-03 for a host choosing games for a baby shower, in our own words. Traditional shower games are described as one way to play, and house rules differ. Player ranges and times are our planning estimates, not measurements. No game measures, tastes or sniffs anything, none is about the size of the mom-to-be, and none involves alcohol. What a sprinkle is was checked on 2026-10-03 against English Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_shower. Licence: own work
