Golf Card Game Score Sheet for Six-Card, Four-Card and Nine-Card Golf: how it works
This golf card game score sheet has a line for each of the nine holes of six-card golf. Type what each player's layout adds up to and a running total appears under the hole, with the lowest marked as leading. Other layouts cover 18 holes, four-card golf with knocking and nine-card golf, and each prints blank with its card values.
Score a hole in one box
Press Add a player until everyone has a column, then rename the headings. When a hole ends, turn every card face up and add your three columns: ace 1, two minus 2, three to ten at face value, jack or queen 10, king 0. Two equal cards in one column score 0. Type the sum on that hole's line, with a minus sign if below zero. The sheet keeps your game until you press New game.
Pairs, twos and what a hole can add up to
A pair cancels only inside a column, so two jacks side by side in a row still cost 20. A pair of twos scores 0, not minus 4, so twos earn more apart: a two beside a king is minus 2. That makes minus 6 the floor for a hole and 60 the ceiling, and the sheet flags a number outside that range. If your table plays jokers or block bonuses, a lower hole is marked and still counts.
Tips
- For a golf card game score sheet PDF, press Print blank sheet and choose Save as PDF in the print window.
- Long game? Six-card golf: 18 holes, out and in adds a subtotal for each nine.
- In four-card golf a two costs 2 and nothing pairs. Switch to Four-card golf: 9 holes and a knock, which has a line for knock fines.
Questions and answers
How many decks do we need?
One 52-card pack covers two to four players at six-card golf. Add a second pack with more than four players and a third with more than eight. Nine-card golf uses two or more decks.
What if I knock and do not have the lowest score?
Tables differ, so agree first. Common fines are 10 points added to your hole, your hole doubled plus 5, or the same score as the highest player on that hole. Some tables reward a knocker who is lowest with a 0. On the four-card sheet, add fines to the knock penalties line.
Who wins if we play to 100 and not nine holes?
Still the lowest score. Four-card golf: deal until 100 marks the first player to reach 100. That ends the game, and whoever has the lowest total at that moment wins. For another target, watch the totals yourself.
