Feeding and hiding places rafts on sargassum and waits in ambush. The pouch and the young follows the eggs from the father's tail to a birth at night.

Is a seahorse a fish?
Yes. A seahorse is a small marine bony fish. It has no scales: thin skin is stretched over bony plates arranged in rings, and it swims upright, driven by its dorsal fin.
Do male seahorses give birth?

What do seahorses eat?
Small crustaceans, such as mysid shrimp, that drift in the water or crawl along the bottom. A seahorse has no stomach, so it must eat constantly to stay alive.
