How it works

Multiple answer trivia questions ask for a whole list: the five Great Lakes, the six strings of a guitar, the eight phases of the Moon. Teams write as many as they can, and every right answer scores a point.

Run a round

Read the card aloud and give every team the same time to write. Press Show answer for the full list, and score a point for each item a team got. Nothing comes off for a wrong one.

Trivia questions with multiple answers, by topic and size

Topic keeps the deck to science and nature, geography, history and civics, words, music and the arts, or sports, games and everyday. Easy cards ask for short lists most tables know. Hard cards run as long as the twelve signs of the zodiac. Every question is listed under the deck with its answers.

Tips
  • Agree before the first card whether spelling counts, and whether a list asked for in order must be in order.

Questions and answers

What is a multiple answer trivia question?

A question whose answer is a short, fixed list, such as the four chambers of the heart. A team scores a point for each item it names, so half a list still counts.

Are these multiple choice questions?

No. Nothing here offers choices: teams recall the list themselves. For questions with one answer each, deal the random trivia generator.

Have the lists been checked?

Yes. On 2 October 2026 every list was read in the English Wikipedia article on its subject. Lists that a vote, an election or a new discovery could change were left out.

How long do teams get for each question?

One minute, if you use the clock: Play a 1-minute round, under the first card, starts it. A long list such as the ten provinces of Canada can fill the whole minute.

How this list was compiled

Questions and answer lists written for this site by the editors; nothing was copied from another quiz. Each card asks for a short closed list, three to twelve answers long. Every list was checked on 2 October 2026 against the English Wikipedia article named on the card (its text is under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license): each answer was found in the article, and the lists made of single letters and numbers (blood groups, note letters, string tunings, Roman numerals, vowels, prime numbers) were read against it line by line. Only lists that the article gives one way are in the deck. Left out on purpose: lists a vote, an election or a new discovery can change (members of a council, record holders, counts of moons), lists that name a team, a league, a brand or a living person, and the events of the modern pentathlon, which changed in 2024. Where a list has a traditional form and a newer one (the classes of vertebrates, the colors of the rainbow, the parts of speech), the question says traditional, classical or the name of the scheme.
