Get the real numbers first

Print two copies and go through them with the parents-to-be before the party. Write their real numbers on one: that copy is your key. If a mark sits right on an answer, change it by hand on the other, then copy that one for the guests.

Play it at the shower

Each guest ticks a box for over and leaves it empty for under. Read out the real numbers and give a point for each right guess. The box under the button keeps one group, and Pick 15 new lines, under the list, deals another set.

Tips
  • Lines about the year ahead have no real number yet. Ask the parents to guess, and their guess is the answer.

Questions and answers

How do you play over or under at a baby shower?

The host reads a count about the parents-to-be and a mark, and each guest guesses whether the real number is over or under it. The parents give the real number, and every right guess scores a point.

What are good over or under questions for a baby shower?

Ones the parents can count and guests can only guess: names crossed off the list, paint samples tried before choosing, potted plants on their windowsills. The groups here cover getting ready, the nursery, the two of them and the first year.

What if the real number is exactly the mark?

Everyone gets the point: that is the rule printed on the sheet. A host who would rather avoid it can change a mark by hand before copying, to a number the answer does not land on.

Does any line ask about weight, a due date or money?

No. No line is about a body, a weight, a due date or what anything cost. Every line is something the parents can count at home or guess about the year ahead.

How this list was compiled: Written by the Game Night Generator editors on 2026-10-02: 80 over-or-under lines about parents-to-be in 4 groups of 20. Own work; nothing was copied from another site. The number on each line is a mark to guess against, chosen by the editors, and is not a fact about anyone: the real numbers come from the parents the host asks, and a host may change any mark by hand. No line is about a body, a weight, a due date, money or what anything cost, and no baby-care figure is stated. Each line was compared by script with every other list on this site and none repeats one. Licence: own work
