How it works

Each line of this over or under bridal shower game counts something about the couple and sets a mark beside it, such as Tiers the cake will have: over or under 3. Guests guess which side the truth falls on.

A week before

The box under the button narrows the sheet to one group, and Pick 15 new lines, under the list, swaps the set. When it suits, send the couple the lines with Copy the list and press Print this list in the same visit: a new visit may open on other lines. Beside each line, note the true count. Where the truth equals the mark, change the mark by hand before you make copies.

On the day

Hand each guest a copy and a pen. A tick means over, and an empty box means under. Then go down the page calling out the true counts while guests score themselves.

Tips
  • Nobody has counted the photos on the bride's phone. For a line like that, the couple's best guess stands as the answer.

Questions and answers

How does the over or under bridal shower game work?

Guests get a sheet of counts about the couple, such as venues they toured before booking, each with a number beside it. They guess higher or lower, the couple reveal the truth, and the best score wins.

Who decides the numbers on the sheet?

We chose each mark as something to guess against. It is not a fact about any couple, so a host who knows the pair well can cross a mark out and write a closer one before copying.

Is this the game where guests guess prices?

No. Guests guess counts, never prices. No line is about money or what anything cost, and none is about age or weight.

What happens when the true count equals the mark?

The printed rules give every guest the point. Changing the mark by hand before the shower avoids the tie altogether.

How this list was compiled: Written by the Game Night Generator editors on 2026-10-02: 80 over-or-under lines about an engaged couple in 4 groups of 20. Own work; nothing was copied from another site. The number on each line is a mark to guess against, chosen by the editors, and is not a fact about anyone: the real numbers come from the couple the host asks, and a host may change any mark by hand. No line is about age, weight, money or what anything cost, and none counts former partners, dates or years together. Each line was compared by script with every other list on this site and none repeats one. Licence: own work
