Six rounds, from Genesis to the prophets
Genesis runs from "Let there be light" to Joseph's silver cup. Exodus to Deuteronomy follows Moses from Midian to the serpent of brass. Joshua, Judges and Ruth has Rahab's scarlet thread and Gideon's fleece. Then come the kings, the wisdom books and the prophets.

Questions and answers
How many books are in the Old Testament?
Thirty-nine in the King James Bible, from Genesis to Malachi. That count leaves out the books called Apocrypha.
Which Old Testament books do the questions cover?
The five books of Moses, the history books from Joshua to Chronicles, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Job, and Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel, with Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther in the last round.
Are the answers from the King James Version?
Yes. Names and quoted words follow the King James Version. Some reasons add the World English Bible's word, such as acacia for shittim wood.
Does any question ask what a church teaches?
No. Each question asks only what the text says, and each answer names the chapter and verse where it is read. No event is given a date.
