Nativity trivia questions and answers, in story order
The rounds go from the angel's words to Zacharias and Mary, through the journey to Bethlehem and the shepherds, to the wise men and the flight into Egypt. Names follow the King James text: Elisabeth, Cyrenius, Aser.
What the text does and does not say
The last round sorts carol and card from Gospel. It asks how many wise men Matthew counts, which animals Luke puts by the manger, and how often the word stable is used.
Questions and answers
How many wise men were there?
Matthew does not say. He writes that wise men came from the east and names three gifts: gold, frankincense and myrrh. He does not count the men or call them kings.
Which books of the Bible tell the Christmas story?
Matthew and Luke. Matthew 1 and 2 tell of Joseph's dream, the wise men and the flight into Egypt. Luke 1 and 2 tell of Gabriel, the manger and the shepherds.
Are these religious Christmas trivia questions and answers for one church?
No. Every question is answered from the text of Matthew or Luke in the King James Version, and none asks about a church's calendar, customs or teaching.
Are the Christmas Bible trivia questions and answers printable?
Yes. After a set of ten, Print question sheet prints 20 questions with lettered choices and no answers marked. Print answer key, under More options, prints the right letters with each reason and verse.
Does the Bible say Jesus was born in a stable?
The word is not in either account. Luke says Mary laid the child in a manger because there was no room in the inn, and Matthew says the wise men came into the house.
