The name and the map starts from the pamphlet of 1933. River, seasons and wildlife has the mugger crocodile and the Marco Polo sheep. Gandhara to the Mughals asks about Porus, Menander and Nader Shah, and British rule to independence about the Lahore Resolution and the fourteen points.

Who came up with the name Pakistan?

Choudhry Rahmat Ali, an activist, first published it in January 1933, spelled Pakstan. He built it from the names of homelands in the northwest; pak also means pure in Persian and Pashto, and -stan means land.

When did Pakistan become independent?

On August 14, 1947, when British India was divided into two dominions. The plan had been announced on June 3. Pakistan adopted a republican constitution in 1956.
