Four rounds on the island and the Big Land

Names and the map has Terra Nova, Nunatsuak and the peak called Cabox. Rock, sea and weather asks about the Long Range Mountains, Gander and the Grand Banks. First peoples, explorers and the cod fishery has white chert, Cuper's Cove and the Fishing Admirals. Colony, dominion, province and flag has Signal Hill and the two red triangles.

A letter of King Henry VII in 1499 called the land explored in 1497 the "new founde land". Labrador comes from the surname of the Portuguese navigator João Fernandes Lavrador.

What do the colors of the Newfoundland and Labrador flag mean?

Blue is the sea, white is snow and ice, red is the efforts and struggles of the people, and gold is their confidence. The flag was adopted in 1980.
