Old words in the King James text

Syriack is the Syrian language in the World English Bible, Grecia is Greece and an oblation is an offering. Numbers are written out: a score is twenty, so threescore and two is sixty-two.

  • Daniel is not named in chapter 3: the furnace is the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

Twelve in the King James Bible. The first six tell of Daniel and his companions at Babylon, and the last six tell his own dreams and visions.

Three young men of Judah brought to Babylon with Daniel. Daniel 1:7 gives their first names as Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, in that order.

Which kings did Daniel serve?

The book names four: Nebuchadnezzar and Belshazzar of Babylon, then Darius the Median and Cyrus the Persian. Daniel 6:28 says he prospered in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus.

Are these book of Daniel trivia questions from the King James Version?

Yes. Names and quoted words follow the King James Version, which is in the public domain. Some reasons add the World English Bible's word, such as a troubled voice for a lamentable voice and inheritance for lot.
