These Mardi Gras bingo cards are a spotting game for a party or a parade: 72 squares, from a string of beads in the air to the tiny baby in a slice of king cake. No square involves a drink.

Pick the list that fits your day
Ready-made list holds three. At the parade, On the party table and Heard around the room have 24 squares each. One list fills a 5 × 5 card exactly, so every card carries the same squares in a different order. Leave the picker alone to mix all three.
Spot it, or call it
At a party, whoever sees or hears a square says so, and everyone holding it marks it. For a seated game, press Call the game and read out each square as the page draws it. A row, a column or a diagonal wins, and the free center counts.
Tips
- Hiding a baby in a king cake? Tell the table before anyone takes a bite.
- No parade nearby? Pick On the party table and decorate in purple, green and gold.
Questions and answers
What do the Mardi Gras colors mean?
Purple stands for justice, green for faith and gold for power. Rex, the King of Carnival, gave the colors those meanings in 1892. Three squares in On the party table carry one meaning each.
When is Mardi Gras?
On Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday, so the date moves every year. The Carnival season before it begins on January 6, which is also when king cake season starts.
How many different cards can I print?
Set How many cards to one for each guest, then use the print button. Cards dealt from all 72 squares differ from one another; cards dealt from a list of 24 share their squares and differ in order.
Can I add my own squares?
Yes. Start a new line in the word list and type it: the name of your street's parade, the dish a neighbor always brings. The cards redraw as you type, and Undo brings the list back.
