How it works
A gift card deserves a better delivery than an envelope. This gift card scavenger hunt deals a trail of rhymes around the house, and the last row is a final clue with a blank for the shop's name.

Deal a trail for your card
The page opens on seven clues that suit any card and, in the last row, a final clue. The menu under the button mixes in hints at what the card buys: Coffee and treats, Books, Movies and games, Clothes and shoes or A meal out. Press a clue, then Lock it if you have its hiding place or Swap it if you do not.
Print, cut and hide backward
Press Hide all hiding places, then Print: each rhyme prints over a blank line, with the hiding places on a last page for you. Write the shop's name in the blank by hand. Hide the card first and work back to the start.
Tips
- Hand over the first clue in an empty gift card envelope.
- For gift card scavenger hunt ideas with two cards, hide one halfway along the trail and one at the end.
Questions and answers
How do you make a scavenger hunt for a gift card?
Deal a trail, lock the clues whose hiding places you have, then print and cut the strips. Hide the card first, then each clue at the place the one before it names. Hand over the first clue.
Where do you hide the gift card at the end?
Somewhere only something flat fits: between two pages of a book, inside a greeting card, under a coaster, in an empty movie case or taped under a chair. Each final clue leads to one of these.
Can the clues hint at the shop without naming it?
Yes. Choose the kind of card in the menu: the teapot and the sugar bowl hint at a coffee shop, the bookends at a bookshop, the popcorn bowl at a movie theater. The shop's name goes in the blank.
Can a scavenger hunt for gift cards end at several cards?
Yes. Swap the last row for a different final clue and print again: one card halfway along the trail with the next clue beside it, and one at the end.
