Make, print and call from one phone

Set How many cards from 1 to 60 beside the print button, step Grid under the card from 3 × 3 to 5 × 5, and tap the title on the card to name the game. The print button names your count, as in Print 30 cards. Then tap Call the game and press Call the next one. Called so far lists them for checking a winner. Switch it to Lowest first to check a winner's card in number order.

The usual rules, and where halls differ

A standard American board is a 5 × 5 grid headed B, I, N, G, O. Numbers 1 to 15 sit under B, 16 to 30 under I, and so on up to 75. The free middle square counts as marked. Cards here put the same 75 numbers in any square, so call the number without the letter. A straight line in any direction usually wins. Four corners, the postage stamp (a 2 × 2 block in the top right corner) and blackout (every square) are common too. Rules vary, so name the pattern first: bingo patterns pictures each shape.

The list of 75 and what the phone remembers

All 75 numbers are printed lower on the page, grouped by tens, each with its column letter. For 69 of them the list adds a British hall call, such as "Two little ducks" for 22. The caller shows the bare number, so read the saying from that list. Marks, your last set and a game in progress survive a reload. What you type stays on the phone: nothing in your list is sent to us or anyone. Back to the 1 to 75 list resets the list, nothing else.

• Keep squares short: a single word of 11 letters or more can break across two lines on a 5 × 5 card on a phone.
