Birthday Bingo: 72 Party Words to Print and Call: how it works

Birthday bingo is a called game: 72 party words, from piñata to first slice, dealt 24 to a card around a free center that reads HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Print a card for every guest and call from your phone.

Free printable birthday bingo with the name and age on it

Type the name and new age into Title on the cards, for example Maya Is 7 Bingo, and the name into Text of the free square. Set How many cards to the guest count plus two spares, up to 60, no two alike, and print. Switch to Call the game and press Call the next one; the called list stays on screen for checking a win.

How long a round lasts

With 12 players and all 72 words, a simulated 5 × 5 round reaches a first line in about 24 calls. For a quicker one, keep only the first 24 lines, Balloons to Glow sticks, and switch Grid to 4 × 4, which has no free square: about 8 calls.

Tips

  • Call a clue instead of the word: the list under the cards has one for piñata and musical chairs.
  • Cover squares with paper scraps or stickers, not pen, and the same birthday bingo printable plays a second round.
  • First full row, column or diagonal wins. Play the last round to blackout, every square covered, for the big prize.

Questions and answers

How do I get a birthday bingo free printable PDF?

Press Print 8 cards (the button follows your count) and choose Save as PDF in the print window. The file holds every card in the set, one, two or four to a page, without the settings or the caller, ready to email or print elsewhere.

Can guests fill in a blank bingo birthday card with gift guesses?

No, there is no blank card. Press Empty the list, type 24 or more likely presents, one per line, and deal; guests mark gifts as they are unwrapped. The bingo card generator deals numbers 1 to 75 anywhere on a card, and none blank.

Is the birthday bingo printable free to change for a milestone birthday?

Yes. Add lines to Word list, one per line about the guest of honor: a hometown, a first car, a favorite song. The caller draws them with the rest. For a game where guests mingle and sign squares, print human bingo as well.

Can guests play on their phones instead of paper?

Yes. Share these cards copies a link that opens this same set on any phone. Give each guest a card number to step to with the arrows, and they tap squares to mark them; a finished line shows Bingo.

How this list was compiled: Own work by the editors: 72 birthday party words written for a called game, 24 in each of three groups, in blocks, so that any one group alone fills a 5 x 5 card with a free center. Every word is something seen, eaten, played or done at a birthday party, none is a brand, a character or a product name, and the list was screened against the site blocklist (nothing sexual, no alcohol or drugs, no self-harm, no strangers, no risky food, nothing illegal). Fruit punch is the soft drink. It is a different list from the gift lists of this site's baby shower and bridal shower cards and from the general first words of its bingo for kids. Facts beside the words were checked on 2026-09-19: the birthday song's tune (Good Morning to All, published 1893, attribution to Patty and Mildred Hill disputed) and the 2016 US public-domain ruling against https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happy_Birthday_to_You; candles and Kinderfest in 18th-century Germany, and the one-breath, keep-it-secret wish, against https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birthday_cake; the pinata (papier-mache, candy, blindfold, stick, spun) against https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pi%C3%B1ata; musical chairs (one fewer chair than players, a chair removed each round) against https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musical_chairs; pin the tail (blindfolded, spun, closest wins, earliest known version 1899) against https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pin_the_tail_on_the_donkey; pass the parcel (British, pass the present in North America, one layer when the music stops) against https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pass_the_parcel. The first-slice line is a common custom stated as such, not a checked fact; the other lines are plain descriptions. Win rules on the page were checked against https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bingo_(American_version) on 2026-09-19. Licence: own work
