How it works
These glow party games are for an indoor glow-in-the-dark birthday, ages 7 to 14. Every one uses light: glow sticks, bracelets, glow tape, neon paper, a flashlight or a balloon with a stick inside. The room stays dim, never dark.

What to buy and when to crack it
Sticks with connectors, bracelets in two colors, a roll of glow tape and a pack of neon paper cover more than half the list; balloons and a few glow necklaces cover most of the rest. Light the sticks as guests arrive, and keep spares for the last hour. An adult loads the balloons before the party.
Pick by the kind of light
The All games menu sorts by what glows. Glow tape and neon paper games work with the lamps half up, so start there. More filters, the last entry of that menu, sorts by head count, minutes and energy.
Tips
- Leave one lamp on in a corner: players should always be able to see the floor and each other's faces.
Questions and answers
What are good neon party games when the room cannot be made dark?
The tape and paper games. Neon Planes Onto the Glowing Runway, Neon Sticky Notes on Backs and Your Color Only: Paper-Ball Pickup rely on bright colors, not on darkness, so they work in daylight.

Play with them. Limbo Under a Bar of Joined Sticks uses six as the bar, Human Constellation, Judged From a Step turns every player into a point of light, and in Glow Sculpture, Lights-Down Reveal teams build something for rivals to guess.
What rules do glow party games need?
Three, and every game here repeats them in its steps: the room stays dim and never dark, everyone walks, and a glow stick is never bitten or cut open.
