What is a traditional Christmas dinner?

It depends on the country. In the United Kingdom it is usually roast turkey with stuffing, gravy, roast potatoes and Brussels sprouts, then Christmas pudding. In Germany the main dishes are roast goose and roast carp.

What is the Feast of the Seven Fishes?

An Italian American Christmas Eve meal of fish and other seafood, eaten over several hours. It took shape in cities of the Northeast and Upper Midwest from the 1880s to the 1930s. There is no general agreement on why the number is seven.

What is Christmas pudding made of?

Early recipes used dried fruit, suet, breadcrumbs, flour, eggs and spice. The pudding is very dark, almost black, because of the dark sugars and black treacle in most recipes and its long cooking time.
