Scoring key

Each die that matches the round number 1
Roll for 1s in round 1, 2s in round 2 and so on up to 6s. The three dice are read one at a time and never added together.
Bunco: all three dice show the round number 21
Worth 21 points. In the usual party rules you have to call out bunco to claim them, and only the roller marks it on a card.
Mini bunco: three of any other number 5
Three of a kind that does not match the round scores 5. Some groups call it a baby bunco.
A win or a loss for every round 1 or 0
Both players on the team with more points mark a win for the round and both players on the other team mark a loss. On a paper card that is a W or an L. On this sheet it is a 1 or a 0.
Partners sit opposite and change each round
The player across the table is your partner for that round only. When a pair stays at the same table, one of them moves over a chair so both get a new partner.
Moving tables: winners go up
The winning team moves to the next table up and the head table winners stay put. House rules differ on the head table losers: in some groups they drop one table, in others they go to the lowest table.
One game is six rounds 6
A party usually plays several games back to back. Four is typical and anything from two to six is common.
Twelve players at three tables of four 12
The usual party size. Any number that splits into tables of four works the same way.
What bunco groups give prizes for
Most buncos, most wins and most losses are common, which is why the card counts all three. Some groups add most mini buncos and the last bunco of the night.

Bunco Score Sheet With Player Cards and a Table Tally: how it works

This free bunco score sheet has two parts. The player cards take a win or a loss for each of the six rounds and count every player's wins, losses, buncos and mini buncos. The table tally adds each team's points turn by turn, and at the head table it says when a team reaches 21.

Fill in a player card

Press Add a player until everyone you are tracking has a column, then rename the headings. After each round, type 1 in the first box if that player's team won at its table, or 0 if it lost. Buncos and Mini buncos are for that player's own rolls and can stay empty. The rows under round 6 count rounds won, rounds lost, buncos and mini buncos.

Keep the table tally

One player at each table keeps score. Open Head table tally: first team to 21 or Other tables: tally until the bell and name the two teams. Each time the dice move on, type what that player scored: 1 for each die matching the round number, 5 for a mini bunco, 21 for a bunco. A running total sits under every turn. Press New game before the next round. It clears the tally and leaves the player cards alone.

Tips

  • Print blank sheet prints the card with a column for each of 12 players and the scoring key. Choose Save as PDF in the print window to keep a copy.
  • More than one game tonight? Player cards: 4 games, 24 rounds holds a whole party. Leave the later games blank if you stop early.
  • Prizes often go to most buncos, most wins and most losses, so check all three rows.

Questions and answers

How many points is a bunco?

A bunco is three dice all showing the number of the round, and it scores 21. Three of a kind of any other number is a mini bunco worth 5. Otherwise each die that matches the round number scores 1. Any roll that scores earns another roll.

When does a round of bunco end?

When a team at the head table reaches 21 points and rings the bell. The other tables play until then, and the team with more points at each table wins the round. Groups differ on whether players in mid-turn finish rolling or stop at the bell.

Where do players move after a round?

Winners move up a table and the head table winners stay. House rules differ for the head table losers: some groups send them down one table, others to the lowest table. When a pair stays, one moves over a chair so everyone gets a new partner.

  • Buncos rolled this game Only the player who rolled the bunco counts it, not the partner.

  • Team points this round Every turn added together. The team with more points wins the round at this table.

Scoring key 12

  • A win or a loss for every round Both players on the team with more points mark a win for the round and both players on the other team mark a loss. On a paper card that is a W or an L. On this sheet it is a 1 or a 0.

  • Head table: the round ends at 21 When a team at the head table has 21 points or more, that table rings the bell and the round is over. Some groups let players in mid-turn finish rolling and others stop everyone at the bell, so agree which before round 1.
  • Keep rolling for as long as you score A roll that scores anything earns another roll. A roll that scores nothing ends the turn and the dice pass to the next player.

  • Partners sit opposite and change each round The player across the table is your partner for that round only. When a pair stays at the same table, one of them moves over a chair so both get a new partner.
  • Twelve players at three tables of four The usual party size. Any number that splits into tables of four works the same way.

How this list was compiled: Written by the editors. Bunco is a traditional dice game with no governing rule book, so the sheet prints the commonest values and the key says where house rules differ. Six rounds a game, 1 point per die matching the round number, 5 for three of a kind of another number, 21 for a bunco, rolling again after any score, the most rounds won deciding the game, the head table and the move to the lowest table for its losers were checked on 2026-09-18 against https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunco. Twelve players at three tables of four, partners sitting opposite, the round ending when a head table team has at least 21, the bell and the two ways of stopping, the higher total winning at each table, roll-offs for ties, the W or L and bunco tally on each player's own card, the table tally kept by one scorekeeper, head table losers moving to the second table, four games as a typical session (two to six) and the common prize categories were checked the same day against https://www.dicegamedepot.com/bunco-rules/. The scores one roll can make (0, 1, 2, 5, 21) were worked out by us from all 216 rolls of three dice. The four-game card and the 40 turn lines are our own choice of length. Licence: own work
