One Minute Game Timer With 60 Games to Play: how it works
A 60-second clock with a game dealt next to it. Press New game for one of 60 one-minute challenges, each with the props it needs and the goal to beat, then press Start timer. It suits Minute to Win It style parties, classroom brain breaks and family nights, and every game runs on cups, coins, socks and other things already in the house.
Run a round from one phone
Press New game until a game matches what you have, or pick a prop group first, such as Plastic cups or Nothing at all. Read the You need and Goal lines out loud and set the props up. Before the first round, untick Next one automatically. Left on, the clock deals a fresh game at zero and starts again, which suits a quiz deck but not a table covered in cups. Tick Sound for a beep when time is up. Then press Start timer. Pause holds the clock if a cup rolls under the couch.
The rules, with house options
One player, one minute, one goal: finish before zero and you win the round. Or race head to head, with the same game set up twice and the first to finish taking it. For teams, send a new player up for each game and give a point for every goal met. The goals are starting points for players over ten. Halve the numbers for younger kids, or press 90 s or 2 min for more time and 30 s for a sprint. Custom takes any length from 5 seconds to an hour.
The printed list and what the phone remembers
All 60 games are printed lower on the page by prop, so you can plan a night and shop for it. The heart saves a game to your Saved page, and Share sends a link to the game on screen. The page counts how many of the 60 you have seen and deals no repeats until you press Start over. Your round length and your two tick boxes are kept in this phone's browser.
Tips
When time is up the button reads Next round, and pressing it deals a new game with the clock already running. To reset without rushing, tap 1 min instead: the clock rewinds and waits for Start timer.
Tick Sound while the room is quiet. The box plays the beep as a preview, so you learn whether the phone's volume is up before anyone is mid-stack.
The beep comes only at zero. Have the crowd count down the last ten seconds out loud, which is more fun than any buzzer.
A phone set to lock after 30 seconds goes dark mid-round. Lengthen the auto-lock setting for the evening, or tap the screen once at the half-way mark.
Plan five games from three prop groups, plus one from Nothing at all as a spare. Food games use food you eat afterwards, so check for allergies first.
Questions and answers
Is this the official Minute to Win It timer?
No. Minute to Win It is a television game show franchise, first aired in the United States on NBC in 2010, in which contestants attempt 60-second challenges with household objects. This page is not connected with the show and does not use its challenge names, music or clock. It is a plain 60 second game timer with 60 games of our own to play against it.
Does the timer make a sound?
One sound. With Sound ticked, the phone beeps once when the clock reaches zero. There is no starting horn and no ten-second warning tone, so the host says go and the room does the countdown. A phone on silent may stay silent, so turn the volume up, then untick and tick Sound to hear the test beep.
Why did the game change by itself when the clock hit zero?
Next one automatically was ticked. It is on by default. With it on, the clock deals the next game at zero and restarts. Untick it and the clock stops at zero and waits for you. The phone remembers the choice, so you only do this once.
How many one-minute games do we need for a party?
Allow about five minutes a game once you add setup, the explanation and a practice try, so six games fill half an hour. For a bigger group, run two stations with a phone at each, or play head to head so that two players are always up.
Which games work with no props at all?
Pick the Nothing at all group. It holds eight games, among them Backwards Alphabet, Silent Birthday Lineup, Rock-Paper-Scissors Streak and Feel the Minute, where everyone shuts their eyes and raises a hand when they think 60 seconds have passed.

How this list was compiled: The 60 games were written for this site by the editors on 2026-09-18. They are party stunts of the kind families have long played with cups, coins and balloons, described in our own words and given our own plain names; no list, name, rule text or artwork was copied from a television show, a boxed game or another website. Every target (how many cups, how many catches) is the editors' starting point for a player over ten with a 60-second clock, not a record or a tested average, so raise it or lower it for your group. Each game was screened against the site's family-safe rule: no alcohol, nothing thrown at a person, nothing sharper than a toothpick, no marbles or other small parts a toddler could swallow, and food games use food that is eaten or put back in the cupboard afterwards. Facts about the television show on the page (an international game show franchise; the American version premiered on NBC on March 14, 2010, and was revived on GSN in 2013; contestants play 60-second challenges with objects commonly found around the house) were checked on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minute_to_Win_It on 2026-09-18. This site is not connected with that show, and the game names here are the editors' own plain descriptions. Licence: own work
