Polar climate, sea ice and the Pole

The Arctic and its polar climate asks the Arctic Circle, the tree line, permafrost and how little snow falls. The Arctic Ocean has the Lomonosov Ridge, the halocline and the Beaufort Gyre. The North Pole asks which time zone it keeps: none.

For a winter quiz or a geography class

Reaching the Pole runs from 1827 to 2007: a navy officer at 82 degrees north, an airship, a parachute jump, a submarine up through the ice and a party on snowmobiles. Each round plays on its own, and the question sheet prints with a separate answer key.
