Wyoming history trivia questions first
The name, the trails and the territory begins in a valley in Pennsylvania and crosses South Pass. Statehood and the Equality State meets the first woman justice of the peace and the first woman elected governor.
Then the land
Mountains, basins and the map has a basin whose water reaches no ocean and 32 islands in a landlocked state. Each tap shows the right answer, a reason and the article it was read in.

What does the name Wyoming mean?
"At the big plains", in the Munsee Delaware language. The name first belonged to a valley in Pennsylvania, and Congress chose it for the territory in 1868 after considering Lincoln.
Why is Wyoming called the Equality State?
For its history of women's rights. Women served on juries in Laramie in 1870, and Nellie Tayloe Ross, elected in 1924, was the first woman elected governor of any state. The state motto is Equal Rights.
How were the answers checked?
