How it works
Wrong answers only questions to ask a group are plain ones with an obvious right answer, such as "What is a fork for?" Everybody answers wrong on purpose, and the funniest answer wins. This deck has 160 in four sets.
How to play wrong answers only out loud
One player reads the card. Everyone else answers wrong on purpose: a fork is a very small rake. The reader picks the funniest answer, and that player reads next. For a faster game press Start round. The room has 30 seconds, and anyone who blurts out the true answer is out until the next card.
Dinner table, classroom, work chat and group text sets
Dinner table and Classroom stay with food, animals and school things a five-year-old knows. Work chat asks what "circle back" means. Every Group text card ends with the words "Wrong answers only.", so Copy this card gives you a message that is ready to send. Easy takes one wrong word (Name a vegetable.). Hard asks why or how.
Tips
- Ban "I don't know" and any answer somebody has already given.
- With young kids, ask twice: once for the real answer, then once for the wrong one.
- In a work chat, post one card before the meeting and read out the best replies in the first minute.

What makes a good wrong answers only question?
One right answer that everybody knows. "What is a stapler for?" works, because the truth is dull and a wrong answer has room to be clever. Opinion questions fail: nobody can tell a wrong answer from an honest one.
How do you win wrong answers only?
The reader picks the funniest answer, or the room points at the winner on the count of three. This page keeps no score, so tally on paper and play to five. A true answer said by mistake costs a point.
Do wrong answers only questions work in a classroom?
Yes. The Classroom set has 40 questions on shapes, seasons, animals and school supplies, with nothing to look up. A wrong answer is only funny to a student who knows the right one, so ask for the right one afterward.
