Questions and answers

What are some easy Korea trivia questions?

Which kingdom gave Korea its name? Which admiral is remembered for the turtle ship? What is a hanok? The answers are Goryeo, Yi Sun-sin and a traditional Korean house.

Does this pack ask about North Korea?

No. It is a pack about South Korea. Kingdoms and dynasties before 1945 ruled the whole peninsula, so those rounds are shared history, but nothing here asks about the north after the division or about today's border.

How were the answers checked?

Each was read on October 3, 2026 in the Wikipedia article South Korea, linked under the question. Left out: population figures, living people, pop groups, companies, war casualty counts and any island or sea name that two governments dispute.

Where does the name Korea come from?

From Goryeo, the kingdom that ruled the peninsula from the 10th century. Arab and Persian merchants who visited pronounced the name as Korea, and the spelling spread on European maps.
