How this list was compiled: An original list of October 2026: 107 lines for a hunt run indoors after dark at a sleepover. 19 are things to find by flashlight, 20 are found among pillows, socks and pajamas, 16 in the kitchen, 18 are photo tasks, 16 are quiet missions and 18 are rhymes for a treasure trail, each with its hiding place in the note. Nothing was copied from another list, and the list states no facts. The whole hunt stays indoors: nobody climbs, nobody hides anywhere that shuts, a sleeper is left asleep, hunters take things only from their own bags, and every photo stays on the host's phone. No hiding place is at a stove, an oven, a medicine or cleaning cupboard, a garage or a road. Levels are a judgment of how hard a line is to finish, not a standard. Licence: own work

How it works

Lights low, flashlights on. This sleepover scavenger hunt never leaves the house: things to find by flashlight, items from pillows, socks and pajamas, a snack run, photo tasks, and missions that must not wake anyone.

Pick the list for your night

The sheet opens on ten lines from five sets. The menu under the button keeps it to one: By flashlight for lights-out, Pillows, socks and pajamas while bags are still being unpacked, Snack run once a grown-up has cleared the kitchen, Photo tasks for one phone, Quiet missions for late. Trade a line you cannot use with Swap.

A sleepover treasure hunt

Choose Treasure trail and each rhyme sends the hunters to the next hiding place, from a pillowcase to the popcorn bowl. Press Hide all notes before you print, and the hiding places move to a page of their own. The treasure goes where the last rhyme points.

  • Give each team one flashlight, not each hunter: a shared beam keeps a team in one room.
  • Run Quiet missions last. A hunt that ends in whispers ends near the sleeping bags.

Questions and answers

How do you do a scavenger hunt at a sleepover?

Split the guests into pairs or two teams, give each a printed sheet and a flashlight, and name a finish time. Everything stays indoors. The team with more boxes ticked chooses the movie, or gets the first pancake in the morning.

What goes on a slumber party scavenger hunt list?

Things already in the house and in the guests' own bags: a sock whose partner cannot be found, pajamas with an animal on them, a snack that crunches, a shadow shaped like an animal. Nothing is bought and nothing leaves the house.

How do you make a treasure hunt for a sleepover?

Hide the treasure first: a midnight snack, or something for breakfast. Then lay the Treasure trail rhymes backward from it, each one where the rhyme before it points, and hand over the first when the lights go down.

Does it work with only two or three guests?

Yes. Two or three hunt as one team and try to finish the sheet before the movie starts. Photo tasks and Quiet missions need no other team at all.
