How to play put a finger down
Everyone holds up ten fingers. One player reads the card, and whoever it is true for folds a finger down, the reader too. Settle one thing before the first card: either the last player with a finger up wins, or the first player out does.
Put a finger down if questions by theme
Pets catches anyone with an animal at home: Put a finger down if a pet in your house has its own favorite chair. Road trips is for the back seat: Put a finger down if you pack snacks before you pack clothes. Brothers and sisters has a card each for the oldest, the youngest and an only child.
- With mixed ages, choose Easy: those cards are true for most players, so every card costs somebody a finger.
- Filming a round? Keep both hands in the frame and let someone off camera read.

Is put a finger down the same as never have I ever?
The scoring is the same: a finger for each card that fits you. The wording is turned round, so a card can also name a taste or your place in the family. The other wording is at never have I ever for teens.
Can you play put a finger down with five fingers?
Yes. Five fingers make a short round for a car ride or a line. Ten suit a party, where players like time to explain the finger they just lost.
