Pride and Prejudice trivia questions

The Pride and Prejudice round is the book itself: the estates and their counties, the Bennet daughters, the first title, the date it came out and where its name came from.

The books, not the screen

No film, series or stage version is a question or a choice. Six novels and how they were printed asks who published them, in how many copies and under what name.

Tips
  • For a book club, play Pride and Prejudice first.

How this list was compiled

Written for this site; nothing was copied from another list. Questions and wrong choices are our own. Each explanation restates, in our own sentences, a fact from the English Wikipedia article named and linked beside the question (https://en.wikipedia.org, text under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license): Jane Austen and Pride and Prejudice. The text of each article was fetched on October 2 or 3, 2026, and on October 3, 2026 the passage that states each fact was read in it before the question was kept. Left out on purpose: every film, television, stage and web version of the novels, sequels by other hands, sales figures, guesses about her illness, and her private life beyond the plain dates and places the article gives. Levels are our estimate: easy is fair for any table, medium suits people who know the subject, hard will stump most tables. Each question also carries the date its article was read (checkedOn).
