Choose the set before a guest looks

The menu under the button keeps one set: It's a boy, It's a girl or Keep them guessing. Every answer stays under its cover until Show answer is tapped, so a guest looking over your shoulder learns nothing.

On a card, a sign or the cake table

Copy one riddle by hand onto the invitation or a sign beside the cake. The last set suits the invitation: its answers are things on the table, such as the cake, the box, the balloon and the envelope. For riddles that take a minute, choose More filters, then Level.

Tips
  • A letter riddle hides the news better than a rhyme: guests have to work it out before they cheer.

Questions and answers

What is a good gender reveal riddle for a boy?

How this list was compiled

Written by the Game Night Generator editors on October 3, 2026: 54 riddles for a gender reveal, in three sets of 18. It's a boy holds riddles answered by a boy, a son, a brother, the word he or the color blue. It's a girl holds riddles answered by a girl, a daughter, a sister, the word she or the color pink. Keep them guessing holds riddles for the invitation and the cake table that give nothing away: their answers are things on the table and around the room, such as the cake, the box, the balloon and the envelope. The wording is the editors' own, and nothing was copied from a card, a book or a site. Every letter puzzle was checked by the editors on the day it was written. The two lines of the nursery rhyme What Are Little Boys Made Of? follow the English Wikipedia article on the rhyme as it read on October 3, 2026 (en.wikipedia.org; the rhyme is traditional and in the public domain). No riddle involves smoke, fireworks or anything that is lit. The two levels (quick, and takes a minute) are the editors' judgment. Licence: own work
