Funny Would You Rather Questions, All Absurd and All Clean: how it works

These funny would you rather questions deal one absurd scene at a time from 150 clean cards, from Laugh like a car alarm or cough like a duck call to Babysit six baby goats or one teenage gorilla. Tap an option to vote and the card shows how the room split.

Make every player defend the pick

Read the card aloud, then pass the phone so each player taps a side. The laugh is in the defense, so ask one player from each side to explain. "Both" and "neither" are not answers. Next question deals again, Skip puts a card back, and No repeats tonight deals all 150 once before any returns.

Six topics and two extra chips

Each topic holds 25 cards: Voices and sound effects, Animal mix-ups, Food nonsense, Wardrobe and looks, Everyday glitches and Public scenes. Silliest tags the 31 most far-fetched, this deck's clean answer to the stupidest would you rather questions: Be an elephant the size of a cat or a ladybug the size of a bus. Act it out tags 27 cards a player can perform, such as Talk in slow motion or on fast forward. Hard holds the 33 where either pick stays with you, like a year of hiccups.

Tips

  • Press Act it out and have each player perform the option they picked. Sneeze like a trumpet takes two seconds and wins the room.
  • A nine to one vote means the card was too easy for your group. A near tie, such as Always be overdressed by a lot or underdressed by a little, is the one to argue over.
  • For a phone-free round, use your browser's Print on the list under the deck, cut the 150 questions into strips and pull them from a bowl.

Questions and answers

Are these funny would you rather questions clean?

Yes. Every card can be read aloud at a family table or in a classroom: nothing rude, no dares, no real people and no put-downs. The jokes come from odd scenes, not gross ones. For slime and smells, open the gross deck.

What makes a would you rather question funny?

A scene you can picture and two options that are equally hard to live with. Have a snail as your taxi driver or a cheetah as your barber works because both go wrong in a way everyone can see.

Is there a funny deck just for adults or for kids?

This deck is for all ages, and Easy holds 53 quick picks for a mixed-age table. Jokes about bills, in-laws and housework are in the deck for adults, which is also clean. Early readers get shorter words in the kids deck. No card appears in two decks.

How this list was compiled: Written for this site by the editors; nothing was copied from another list, and no card or option repeats one on the site's other would you rather or this or that pages. The deck is absurd scenes only: no gross-out cards and no eating dares (the gross deck's ground), no bills, in-laws or office jokes (the adults and work decks), and no classic superpowers (the superpower deck). Every card was read against the site's family-safe rule (nothing sexual, no alcohol or drugs, no self-harm, no dares, no brand names, no real people, no put-downs) and the list was run through a word blocklist on 2026-09-19. The words phone, text and stranger are on that list for the children's decks; they were allowed here and each use was read by an editor. Silliest and Act it out are editor's tags on top of a card's topic: Silliest marks the 31 most far-fetched scenes, Act it out marks the 27 cards where a player can perform the pick at the table. Easy, Medium and Hard are an editor's judgment: Hard is the 33 cards where either pick stays with you, such as a year of hiccups or oven mitts every day. The list prints each question as one sentence with a shared opening or ending said once; the two buttons on the card carry each option in full. Licence: own work
