How this list was compiled

Written by the Game Night Generator editors on 2026-09-30; the cards and the acting hints are our own work. Every card is a moment from a birthday party that one person can act without props or speech. The customs follow https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birthday_cake, read on 2026-09-30: small lit candles on the cake, a birthday song, and the celebrant blowing out the candles and making a wish, said to come true if every candle goes out in a single breath. Each named party game was checked in its own English Wikipedia article on 2026-09-30: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pin_the_tail_on_the_donkey (a blindfolded child is spun and tries to pin the tail), https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musical_chairs (one chair fewer than players; sit when the music stops), https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pi%C3%B1ata (hit with a stick while blindfolded, filled with candy), https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pass_the_parcel (whoever holds it when the music stops removes one layer), https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limbo_%28dance%29 (pass under a bar bending backward), https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_potato, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duck,_duck,_goose, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sack_race, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egg-and-spoon_race, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Says and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musical_statues (freeze dance). No card names a song: the card reads Singing to the birthday child. Levels are an editor's judgment: easy is one thing a room names at once, medium takes two or three beats, and hard is a small scene, a quiet clue or a harder word. Compared by script on 2026-09-30 with every other list on this site: no card is repeated. Licence: own work
