How Well Do You Know Each Other Questions for Couples and Friends: how it works
One partner predicts what the other will say, and every match scores a point: the format of the television show The Newlywed Game. This deck holds 184 original how well do you know each other questions, all clean, from how you met to who takes out the trash, with sets for a wedding shower, an anniversary party and two friends.
How to run it from one phone
Each couple is a team: type their names over Team 1 and Team 2, and press Add a team for a third or fourth. One partner from each couple leaves the room. Read three cards to the partners who stayed and write down each prediction. Call the others back, ask the same three, and press +1 for every match. Then swap roles. Next card deals; Skip drops a card that does not fit. With one couple, both write and reveal together.
Sets for a shower, an anniversary and friends
Pick one pill or leave it on All. The Wedding shower set suits an engaged couple: "Where did the proposal happen?" The Anniversary set reaches back: "What was the weather like on your wedding day?" Pairs of friends says friend where the rest say partner, so it works for friends, for families (two sisters) and for coworkers. Easy asks for a fact, Medium for a habit, Hard for an exact detail or your partner's own words.
Tips
Write predictions on index cards and hold them up together. A spoken answer can drift after the reveal.
At a shower, ask the absent partner the questions by video beforehand, then let the guest of honor guess in front of everyone.
Save Hard cards such as "What would your partner say is your most annoying habit?" for late, once both halves are laughing.
Questions and answers
Are these the questions from the TV show?
No. The Newlywed Game first aired on ABC in 1966, and this site has no connection to the show or to any product sold under its name. Every question here is original. Only the format is shared: predict an answer, score a match.
What makes a good question for this game?
A short answer the other half can confirm: a place, a name, a dish. "Who made the first move?" starts a friendly argument. The funny questions work the same way, because the laugh comes from the mismatch: "What song does your partner get the words wrong to?"
Is the deck clean enough for a church group?
Yes. Nothing is sexual, and no card asks about former partners, money, bodies or drinking, so it suits a church couples' night, a family reunion or an office party. If a card feels too personal, press Skip.

How this list was compiled: Written by the Game Night Generator editors on 2026-09-18; no list was copied from anywhere and no question comes from a television show or a boxed game. Each card is read to one half of a pair, who predicts what the other half will say; a matching answer scores a point. Every card was screened line by line: nothing sexual, no former partners, no alcohol or drugs, and no question about a player's body, money, health, religion or background. Levels are ours: an easy card asks for a plain fact about the pair, a medium card asks about an everyday habit, and a hard card asks for an exact detail or a prediction of the partner's own words. The format (one spouse leaves the stage while the other predicts their answers, the roles are reversed in the next round, and a match scores points) was checked on 2026-09-19 against https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Newlywed_Game, which also gives the show's first broadcast as July 11, 1966 on ABC. This site is not connected to that show. Licence: own work
