New York State trivia questions and answers in four rounds

New Netherland and the colony follows the Dutch from Fort Nassau to New Orange. Mountains, lakes and parks climbs Mount Marcy and finds the lake where the Hudson begins. The canal, Ellis Island and schools asks what pulled the packet boats.

One round for the city

New York City has the price of Manhattan in guilders, the river that is really a tidal strait and the largest park, which is not Central Park. Each tap shows the right answer, a reason and the article it was read in.

Questions and answers

What are some easy New York trivia questions?

Both. Four rounds draw on the Wikipedia article on the state and one round on the article on the city, and each question links the article that states its fact.

Goods to "the value of 60 guilders", in 1626, when Peter Minuit made the purchase. The story of $24 in glass beads is a legend that has been disproved.

How were the answers checked?

Each was read on October 3, 2026 in the linked article. The capital and the state motto are left to the site's fifty-state pack, and the vote on independence was dropped because the Fourth of July pack asks it.
