A list for each part of the stay

The lobby and Your room work the moment you arrive; Breakfast and lobby treats waits for the morning. Choose one in the menu beside the main button, then press Print this list, or tick finds off on the phone.

House rules on the sheet

Every find is in a public area or your own room. Nobody knocks on another door, rides the elevator alone or goes past a staff-only sign, and the pool list is played beside a grown-up.

Tips
  • Save Pool, gym and games for when a grown-up is going anyway; pool finds are seen from the side.

Questions and answers

What can kids find in a hotel?

A bell on the front desk, an elevator button with no number, an ice machine, tiny bottles of shampoo and a waffle maker at breakfast. Most hotels have nearly all of them.

Does it work in a small hotel with no pool?

Yes. Skip Pool, gym and games: the other four lists hold 48 finds, and even the smallest hotel has a lobby, a hall and a room.

How do you score it?

Each line carries 1, 2 or 3 points at the start of its note. A find counts once the whole family has seen it; add up at breakfast on the last morning.

How this list was compiled: Written for this site by its editors in September 2026: 60 original finds for a family stay in a hotel, from the lobby to your own room. Nothing was copied from another list, and no hotel, chain or brand is named, so the list fits any hotel. No outside page was read for it: the notes are judging rules, not facts. Every find is scored by looking, in the public areas and your own room: nobody knocks on another door, goes behind a desk or into a staff-only area, rides the elevator alone, or goes near the pool without a grown-up; nothing is taken except what the hotel gives away at the front desk, and nobody outside the family is asked for anything. Points and levels are the editors' judgment. Licence: own work
