By reading the Wikipedia article Arizona on October 3, 2026; each question links it. Left out: heat records, the wartime camps, immigration laws, election results and living people. The sum paid to Mexico in 1848 is not asked, because two Wikipedia articles give different figures.

On February 14, 1912, as the 48th state. It had been a territory since 1863, with capitals at Prescott, Tucson and Phoenix.
What does the name Arizona mean?
It appears to come from an O'odham name meaning small spring. A second theory reads it as a Basque phrase for the good oak.
