How it works
These 250 fun questions to ask on social media are written to be posted: each fits in 100 characters and can be answered in one comment. The six types include this or that, fill in the blank and throwbacks.

Choose the kind of post
The list beside the button holds six types: This or that (44), Fill in the blank (42), Pick one (42), Favorites (40), Throwbacks (42) and Harmless hot takes (40). A this-or-that asks for a one-word answer.
Match it to your page
Under More filters, A business page keeps 169 questions, A group or club 231 and Friends and family 225. A few speak as the page itself, such as Pick what we post next. All 250 are printed below the tool, type by type.
Tips
- Answer your own question in the first comment.
- Post one question at a time, not a list of ten.
Questions and answers
What are good questions to post on social media?
Ones a reader can answer in a few words without thinking twice: Corner piece or middle piece of the pan? or Fill in the blank: Sunday evenings are for ___. Each of the six types here asks for a choice, a blank or one memory.
Why does no question ask about a first pet, a street or a school?
Those are common account security answers. A Better Business Bureau scam alert on social media quizzes names the first car, a mother’s maiden name and the street you grew up on. No question here asks for them, or for an age or a birthday.
Which questions suit a business page?
Choose More filters, then A business page, for 169 questions about food, weather, weekends and habits that fit any trade, plus a handful written in the page’s own voice, such as My order is always ___.
Can I post these as they are?
Yes. Each one is written to be pasted as it stands. None names a brand, a show, a team or a platform, so nothing needs editing before it goes up.
