Fall Bingo for Kids: Printable Cards and a Caller With Clues: how it works
This fall bingo for kids deals 4 × 4 cards, no two alike, from 111 autumn words and sights: acorn, scarecrow, geese in a V. Nothing on it is scary, and nothing belongs to Halloween or Thanksgiving, so one fall bingo printable lasts from the first red leaf to the first frost. Press Print 4 cards, or let children tap squares on a tablet.
Fit the list to the readers
All 111 squares suit second to fifth graders. In our simulated games on the 4 × 4 card, a class of 25 had a winner after about 27 calls. For new readers, copy the first group below, 25 short words such as leaf, owl and mud, press Empty the list, paste it into Word list, one per line and deal again: about 8 calls for the same class.
A science fact behind the call
Forty-three squares carry a line to read aloud after the word. The yellow in a leaf was there all year, hidden under the green; the red is made fresh near the end of summer. A woolly bear caterpillar freezes in winter and thaws in spring, and its stripes do not forecast the weather. Each fact was checked on September 19, 2026.
Tips
For a fall bingo board that lasts all season, tape one card per child to the fridge or the classroom door and mark a square when it is seen or done. Nobody calls.
A 4 × 4 card has no free square, so every line needs four words. Two cards to a page keeps the type big enough for a first grader.
Mushroom and Red berries are look-only squares, and the list says so. Delete those rows before a walk with very young children.
Questions and answers
Is this a free fall bingo printable for a whole class?
Yes. There is no charge and no sign-up. Set How many cards to the class size, up to 60 with no two alike, pick one, two or four under Cards per printed page, and print. To send cards home, save them as a PDF from the print window.
Why is there no turkey, carved pumpkin or costume?
Those belong to Thanksgiving and Halloween, which have bingo pages of their own. Leaving them out means one set of cards works from the first week of school to the last leaf. Pumpkins, owls and spiders are here as harvest and nature words.
Can children play on a tablet by themselves?
Yes, once a grown-up opens the page. A child taps a square to mark it and taps again to undo. The game needs no names, no sign-up and no typing, and Clear marks wipes the card for the next player.
