How it works

This dare generator deals one harmless dare per press, done on the spot and indoors: an impression, a voice, a drawing, a balancing act. It works as a dare generator for friends who want dares and no truths.

Run a round from one phone

The first dare is already on the card. The player whose turn it is does it, presses Next card and passes the phone on. Any player may pass a dare, and a pass costs nothing. A dare that runs until your next turn ends the moment that turn comes.

Choose the kind of dare

Press Topic before the first turn. Pen and paper needs a pen and a sheet; Balance and skill uses coins, paper or a rolled-up sock with a bowl or a hat. Quiet dares suits a late night. Easy dares need no nerve; Hard ones take the most, such as leading the whole group.

Tips
  • Put pens and paper in the middle before you start, so a drawing dare does not stop the game.

Questions and answers

What are good dares for a group?

Ones that are over fast and make the room laugh at the act, not at the player: Be a very slow sloth reaching for a snack, or Draw a portrait of yourself as a vegetable. Every dare here is done on the spot, indoors.

Are the dares clean?

Yes. This random dare generator is clean: no dare involves kissing, taking off clothing, food or drink, phone calls or messages, or anyone outside the group, and none leaves the room. The whole bank is listed under the generator for a host to read first.

Is this truth or dare without the truths?

Yes. Every card is a dare. For truths as well, open the truth or dare generator: it deals from a bank of its own, and no dare on this page is in it.

Can I print the dares for a bowl?

Yes. A round ends after 12 cards, and Print these then gives the dares as slips to cut apart. Pick one kind under Topic first to print only that kind. A long set prints in two goes: press again for the others.

How this list was compiled: Written for this site by the editors; nothing was copied from another list, and no dare here is one of the dares on our truth or dare page. Every dare was checked against the site's rule for dares: it can be done on the spot, indoors, with nothing more than a pen, paper, a cushion, a few coins, a rolled-up sock and a bowl or a hat; it needs no phone call or message, no food or drink, no leaving the room and nobody outside the group; and nothing is sexual, involves alcohol, or makes fun of a player. Difficulty is an editor's judgment: easy needs no nerve, medium is a short performance, and hard is a longer solo, leading the whole group, or a rule that is hard to keep. Quiet dares is an extra label on dares done with little or no noise and no running about; those dares are printed under their topic in the list. On 2026-10-01 the bank was compared by script with every other list on this site and with the dare lists on another site we publish: no dare here repeats one there word for word, and dares that were the same act as one there in other words were taken out or replaced.
